Lady Randolph Churchill

Lady Randolph Churchill, born Jennie Jerome, an American socialite took British society by storm.

She married Lord Randolph Churchill in 1874 and became a political force in her own right. Her son, Winston Churchill led Britain through World War II.
Jennie helped propel her husband’s career, hosting glittering gatherings that drew Britain’s most powerful figures. After Lord Randolph’s death in 1895, Jennie remained a force in British society.
She helped launch The Anglo-Saxon Review, a short-lived but stylish literary magazine. Lady Randolph died in 1921 at 67.
