The more I thought about this, the more I decided this mirrored the experience online sellers have with internet shoppers. No matter how much we try, they're quick to forget everything we share with them.

If you don't bookmark a website while you're looking at it how likely are you to find it again? After you've made an online purchase you're excited about, do you bookmark the eBay store, or do you just assume you can easily find it again when it's time to make another purchase?
The odds are that great eBay store is gone for good because you didn't take a few seconds to bookmark it.
That's the bad news.
Now, what can you do to counteract shopper's short term memory issues? The simple answer is: help them take action now. Ask them to save your store as a favorite while they're shopping. When you mail out their package, include a flyer asking customers to join your email list, so they're in the know about all of your great promotions.
The key to making more sales is to keep customers in the loop and keep reminding them that you're still there, and ready to help them out.
Pet your customers now and then. Toss, them a bone, a Frisbee, or maybe a really great deal to keep them interacting with you.
